DHARMA-GAIA FOUNDATION

The Dharma-Gaia Foundation (FDG) is a private non-profit cultural organization, registered in the Registry of Foundations of Catalonia. Its primary mission is to preserve, teach and disseminate the rich cultural heritage of Buddhism in Spanish-speaking countries. FDG is distinguished by its inclusive and non-sectarian approach, promoting a view of the Buddhadharma that embraces all Buddhist traditions.

To fulfill its objectives, FDG organizes a wide variety of activities, including academic courses, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, book and video publications, as well as film festivals. In addition, it provides content and editorial direction to Buddhistdoor en Español, the leading international journal on Buddhism in Spanish.

Among its outstanding initiatives, the FDG:

- Maintains collaboration agreements with the Rovira i Virgili University and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, for the purpose of offering courses, publishing academic research and holding conferences and seminars dedicated to the study of Buddhism.
- It has two publishing houses of its own: Editorial Unalome, focused on the translation of Buddhist texts into Spanish from their original languages, and Editorial Dharma-Gaia, which deals with general Buddhist topics.
- Promotes, together with the CCEB, and sponsors the Buddhist Film Festivals of Catalonia.
- Organizes interreligious Buddhist-Carmelite congresses in collaboration with the Teresian-Sanjuanist International Center and the Center of Buddhist Studies of the University of Hong Kong.
- Is the promoter and sponsor of the Ibero-American Network for the Study of Buddhism, with headquarters in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- It is a founding member and promoter of the group Laboratorio Ecobududismo, located in Chile.
- It develops other projects in Latin America, with current presence in Cuba, Chile and Argentina.

Through these initiatives, the FDG seeks to enrich the knowledge and practice of Buddhism, fostering intercultural dialogue and global understanding.
