Lecture: Compassion, the essence of Mahayana. Theory and practice.

We are pleased to invite you to our next conference to be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 16:00 to 19:00 CET via the TEAMS platform. Registration is free of charge.

INTRODUCTION TO THE CONTENT OF THE CONFERENCE

Commentary and practice of the text, "A precious crystal rosary. One hundred and eight stanzas in praise of great compassion", written by the Mongolian Lama Lobsang Tayang. Through the commentary of this text and some practice that we will do, we will be able to observe how Mahayana Buddhism is not an obsolete primitive ideology, but a tradition very much alive in the present. Compassion, the capacity to be moved by the suffering of others, is extremely important in the process of personal maturation and one of the key elements of the Buddhist path to spiritual realization. This text extols the importance of living with compassion, speaks of its qualities and explains why it is one of the most valuable virtues we can develop as human beings.
